Something every Original person needs to see to relive our history since it has been stolen from us and demanded that we forget it. Know not where you've come from, know not where you'll go!!!!! I would take that trip every year if I could.

Brian and Ana were the most gracious tour guides. Even though I had come before they officially opened, they gave me a full tour of the area because I was from out of town. They blend the history of the Underground Railroad, their personal history (they are descendants of escaped slaves), and the history of the MLK civil rights movement beautifully. With a positive focus on freedom and partnership, this site is must.

Great end of the line, capstone story experience with descendents of refugee slaves

A poignant reminder of the slaves' journey to freedom. Bryan Walls and his three students help us venture back in time by leading us on a "journey" through the woods, describing the terrifying escape to Canada. A must see, or rather "experience," for all ages. Purchased Dr Walls' book, "The Road That Led to Somewhere," a true story of his ancestors journey via the underground railroad.
